FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE— A 23-year-old Palestinian man died Friday following an alleged beating by Israeli settlers in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Authority and local media reports.

Ten other Palestinians were reportedly injured during clashes with settlers in the area, which has seen a surge in violence in recent weeks. The Israeli military is investigating the incident, according to a report in the newspaper Haaretz.

The escalation comes amid rising settler-Palestinian tensions across the occupied West Bank, where attacks have increased in frequency and intensity. In the nearby Christian-majority village of Taybeh, fires were set Friday near the ruins of a 4th-century church and residential homes, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The United Nations and various human rights organizations have repeatedly raised concerns about the growing number of incidents involving settler violence, calling for restraint and accountability from all parties.
