FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Total petroleum product sales in Cyprus reached 124,647 tonnes in April 2025, marking an 8.4% increase compared to the same month in 2024.
The largest gains were seen in marine gasoil provisions, which surged by 136.6%, and aviation kerosene, up 12.7%. Sales of kerosene, heavy fuel oil, heating gasoil, liquefied petroleum gases, motor gasoline, and road diesel also rose.
Conversely, light fuel oil sales dropped by 56.9%, while asphalt sales declined by 7.3%.
Sales from filling stations increased by 3.2% to 54,739 tonnes.
Compared to March 2025, total petroleum sales rose by 16.2%, driven by a sharp rise in marine gasoil and aviation kerosene provisions. Meanwhile, motor gasoline and road diesel sales remained nearly unchanged.
For the January–April 2025 period, total petroleum sales saw a marginal 0.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
