Piraeus Port Authority Posts Record Revenues and Profits for 2024

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE  – Greece’s Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA) announced record-breaking financial results for 2024, with total revenue reaching 230.9 million euros ($249.82 million), a 5% increase compared to 2023. Pre-tax profits rose 17.4% to 112.9 million euros, while after-tax profits surged 30.8% to 87.4 million euros.

The proposed dividend per share increased by 43.7% to 1.92 euros.

This marks the fourth consecutive year of improved performance, driven by strong results across core segments. Cruise operations achieved record highs in vessel calls and passenger volumes, with revenues increasing by 15.5%.

The car terminal sector saw a 28.2% revenue boost, while coastal shipping revenue grew by 6.5%. The container terminal showed resilience despite global supply chain disruptions.

PPA CEO Su Xudong attributed the success to strategic planning and the team’s dedication, emphasizing the port’s commitment to supporting Greece’s economy and long-term development.
