FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Protesters gathered outside the Israeli embassy in Nicosia Tuesday night to demonstrate against the ongoing violence in Gaza, calling for an immediate end to hostilities.
The demonstration, organized by activists, was sparked by the alleged abduction of activists by Israeli forces from the vessel Madeline. Protesters also condemned what they described as an escalation of genocide against more than two million Palestinians in Gaza.
Participants held banners and chanted slogans demanding a ceasefire and greater international intervention. Some called on the Cypriot government to sever diplomatic ties with Israel, citing the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza.
