IT-related crimes in Russia have caused more than 81 billion rubles (approximately 1.03 billion U.S. dollars) in losses during the first five months of 2025.
Authorities registered more than 308,000 cybercrimes in that period, with over 189,000 cases involving remote theft and fraud.
Ongoing measures to combat cyber fraud, include enhanced enterprise security, personal data protection mechanisms, and increased public awareness initiatives aimed at prevention.
