A 31‑year‑old man was arrested after a series of collisions and a police chase in Paphos, authorities said Sunday.
Police said the suspect first caused a traffic crash and fled.
When an officer tried to stop him, he sped off, driving dangerously and hitting additional vehicles.
He later abandoned his car and attempted to escape on foot before being detained.
Officers fired a warning shot into the air during the incident.
Investigators said the man had no driver’s license or insurance and is living illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
