In 2025, 17.1 per cent of the population in the Republic of Cyprus was at risk of poverty or social exclusion, according to figures reported by the Cyprus Statistical Service.
The percentage corresponds to roughly 167,000 people.
The 2025 figures are almost unchanged from 2024.
The share of people specifically at risk of poverty rose slightly, from 14.6 per cent in 2024 to 14.9 per cent in 2025.
