Police arrested a 17‑year‑old early Tuesday in connection with the arson of a parked car in Limassol late last month, authorities said.
The fire broke out at about 2:40 a.m. on Feb. 25 in the parking area of an apartment building, destroying a vehicle owned by a 28‑year‑old woman and causing damage to the building’s walls, according to investigators.
Police said testimony obtained during the investigation implicated the teenager, who was taken into custody under a court warrant and is being held for questioning.
A 32‑year‑old man had previously been arrested in the same case and was released after a six‑day remand pending completion of the investigation.
The Limassol CID is handling the case.
