An 18-year-old footballer from Cyprus died in a car accident while vacationing in Bangladesh, according to announcements from his school and football club.
Kaziul Kamruzzaman, a member of the youth team of Digenis Akritas Morphou and a student at Palouriotissa Lyceum, was killed late Tuesday in a traffic accident in his father’s home country. Kamruzzaman, originally from Bangladesh, had been living permanently in Cyprus.
The accident occurred while he was traveling with peers in a car driven by his cousin. Both Palouriotissa Lyceum and Digenis Akritas Morphou confirmed the news in posts on their websites.
Kamruzzaman had returned to Bangladesh for a holiday.
