The Cypriot Institute of Statistics announced that the population of Cyprus in 2023 increased by 1.8 percent compared to the previous year.
According to Alithia newspaper, the population of Cyprus, which was 949,100 in 2022, increased to 966, 400 in 2023.
The newspaper stated that the birth rate in 2023 was recorded as 1.4 percent with 10,241 births, while the number of people who died in the same year was 6,742.
