The National Guard will destroy a piece of ammunition in the Geri area of Nicosia on Thursday afternoon, and isolated explosions may be heard, police said.
The operation is scheduled between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Police said safety measures will be in place and there is no risk to the public.
