Tourism Revenue Up 7.8% in January

Tourism revenue in Cyprus reached €74.6 million in January, a 7.8% increase from €69.2 million a year earlier, according to the Statistical Service.

Per‑capita spending edged down 0.7% to €613.26, while daily spending rose to €78.62.

Poland remained the largest source market, accounting for 18.6% of arrivals; Polish visitors spent an average of €72.81 per day.

Israeli tourists, the second‑largest group at 18.1%, spent €157.31 daily. Visitors from the U.K., the third‑largest market, spent €70.99 per day.

The data come from the Traveller Survey conducted at the Larnaca and Paphos airports and cover only areas under the effective control of the Republic.
