Tourist arrivals to Cyprus dropped 30.7% in March, falling to 139,198 from 200,736 in the same month last year, the Statistical Service has said.
Arrivals for January–March totaled 407,339, down 8.8% from the first quarter of 2025.
The United Kingdom remained the largest source market in March, accounting for 32.9% of arrivals (45,763). Poland followed with 12.6% (17,604), Germany with 10.8% (14,999) and Greece with 6.5% (9,009). Arrivals from Israel fell sharply to 1,537, a 94.6% drop.
Holiday travel made up 65.7% of visits, while 19.8% came to see friends or relatives and 14.3% travelled for business.
Cyprus residents’ outbound travel down 8.8%
Trips abroad by Cyprus residents totaled 133,034 in March, compared with 145,940 a year earlier, an 8.8% decrease.
Greece was the top destination, representing 32.4% of returns (43,068), followed by the United Kingdom at 9.9% (13,131), Italy at 4.7% (6,304) and Germany at 4.5% (5,961).
Among residents, 72.5% travelled for holidays, 22.6% for business, 3.9% for studies and 1% for other reasons.
