Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Wednesday that US President-elect Donald Trump’s talk of possibly annexing Canada is a tactic to distract people from the new tariffs he wants to impose.
Trudeau told CNN that if Trump went ahead with a promise to impose a 25 percent tariff on all imports from Canada, everything American consumers buy from Canada would become much more expensive, Reuters news agency reports.
