Türkiye’s broadband internet subscriber base rose to 98.2 million as of the third quarter of 2025.
The country’s fiber‑optic network expanded to 657,000 kilometers, a length he noted is equivalent to circling the Earth 16 times. The network grew 11.7 percent from the same period a year earlier.
408 operators were active in the electronic communications sector as of the end of September, with 757 authorizations issued. Fixed‑line subscriptions totaled 8.5 million, while mobile subscriptions reached about 99.1 million.
Mobile users generated roughly 80.7 billion minutes of traffic in the third quarter, compared with 1.2 billion minutes on fixed lines, bringing total call volume to nearly 82 billion minutes. About 80 percent of mobile subscribers were individual users and 20 percent corporate.
With an average monthly mobile usage of 494 minutes, Türkiye remained the country with the highest call volume among comparable European markets.
Around 4.9 million mobile subscribers ported their numbers during the quarter, bringing the total number of ported mobile numbers to about 203 million as of Sept. 30.
Of the 98.2 million broadband subscribers, 20.9 million were fixed and 77.3 million mobile. Broadband subscriptions increased 1.9 percent year on year. The fastest growth was in fiber‑to‑the‑home connections, up 26.3 percent, followed by fixed wireless broadband at 26.1 percent.
