FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The United States and Cyprus are closer than ever, driven by clear and decisive political will, government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis said Wednesday at the 40th Annual Conference of the Pancyprian Coordinating Committee for the Cyprus Struggle in Washington, D.C.
Letymbiotis emphasized that President Nikos Christodoulides has placed the Cyprus issue at the top of his political agenda—not as a slogan, but as a mission—advocating for greater EU involvement in UN-led negotiations.
He highlighted Cyprus’ preparations for the upcoming multilateral summit in New York this July, stressing that the ultimate goal is the resumption of peace talks.
“Cyprus may be small in size, but its determination is immense,” Letymbiotis said.
