Ukraine’s ambassador to Egypt has called for stronger economic cooperation and trade ties, saying his country will need international help for postwar reconstruction projects estimated at $600 billion.
Ambassador Mykola Nahornyi told Egyptian and Ukrainian business leaders that relations between the two countries enjoy political and security stability.
He said Ukraine is waiting for the war to end and looks to Egypt among the nations that can contribute to rebuilding.
Valeria Zapatcha, head of international trade at Ukraine’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of closer ties between the chambers of both countries.
She urged more business visits and highlighted opportunities in agriculture, industry, mining, renewable energy, tourism and information technology.
