Rubio is a 53-year-old Republican senator from Florida. He is the first Latino U.S. Secretary of State. Rubio’s parents are from Cuba.
During Trump’s first term, Rubio served as the president’s unofficial foreign policy advisor.
In 2016, Rubio ran against Trump for the Republican presidential nomination.
