FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — Water service has been fully restored to all communities affected by recent wildfires, Cyprus’s Water Development Department has said.
Crews from the department remain on site daily to monitor conditions and respond to any new issues, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.
Officials said locations for intervention have been identified following extensive field inspections, and tenders have been issued for materials needed to begin construction.
The government will fully fund generator purchases for fire-stricken communities and subsidize 80% of costs for other areas.
