Police in the Republic of Cyprus seized more than 200 kilograms of drugs along with weapons and explosives during a raid on a house in Nicosia, arresting two men aged 34 and 26.
According to reports in the Cypriot press, officers recovered about 160 kilograms of cannabis, 60 kilograms of cocaine, 11,640 fireworks, three handguns, two improvised explosive devices, more than 30 live rounds and €12,765 in cash.
The estimated street value of the drugs is around €7 million.
Strovolos Drug Squad chief Christos Andreou said the total amount of drugs seized exceeds 200 kilograms.
As of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, officers had counted 150 kilograms of cannabis and 50 kilograms of cocaine, with the inventory still underway.
