Police have rearrested a 48‑year‑old remand prisoner in connection with a series of serious criminal offenses under investigation.
The man is already in custody in relation to a January 17, 2026 brawl and shooting incident in Larnaca.
He is now additionally being investigated for conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal possession and transport of a firearm, kidnapping, causing grievous bodily harm, carrying a weapon to cause terror and other related offenses allegedly committed in July 2025 in the Larnaca district.
A 27‑year‑old man was also arrested under a court warrant for the same offenses and has been placed in custody.
Both suspects are expected to appear in court on Saturday for a remand hearing.
