Larnaca Airport continued to be the primary gateway for illegal drugs entering Cyprus in 2025, according to figures cited by the newspaper Politis.
Data from the Drug Law Enforcement Unit showed that authorities seized 256 kilograms of cannabis at Larnaca Airport last year — the largest amount recorded at any entry point in the Republic.
By comparison, police confiscated 41 kilograms of cannabis at Paphos Airport and 90.5 kilograms at Limassol Airport.
An additional 9.3 kilograms were intercepted through the postal service, while parcel‑delivery channels accounted for a further 235 kilograms.
In total, 632 kilograms of cannabis were seized at Cyprus’s official entry points in 2025.
Nationwide, including seizures made within the country, the figure rose to 811 kilograms.
Authorities also intercepted cocaine during the year: one kilogram at Paphos Airport, five kilograms at Limassol Port, 36 grams via post and 19.5 kilograms through parcel shipments.
The report noted that overall cocaine seizures remained stable — 52 kilograms in 2024 and 51 kilograms in 2025.
