The Cyprus Ports Authority will present its development roadmap for the Larnaca port and marina project on July 2 during a meeting of the Larnaca City and District Development Committee.
According to a statement by the municipality, the session will take place at 6 p.m. at the municipality’s Multifunctional Social Welfare and Employment Centre. Committee members will be briefed on the project’s planning and development prospects.
The presentation is considered significant, as it is expected to outline the implementation of key decisions, including the Ports Authority’s assumption of full responsibility for the project and plans to upgrade the port into a tourist‑oriented and compatible commercial facility.
The roadmap is also expected to include an upgraded and expanded marina with capacity for about 200 vessels, development of at least 50,000 square meters of land for urban uses, and steps toward unifying Larnaca’s coastal front.
The municipality said the meeting forms part of ongoing updates and consultations on issues related to the city’s and district’s development trajectory.
