Chile has declared a state of emergency following a massive power outage that has plunged much of the country into darkness.
The government has also imposed a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the affected regions.
The power outage, caused by a transmission line failure, has disrupted daily life and operations across the country, including major copper mines.
This is the largest blackout Chile has experienced in over a decade.
In addition to the power outage, Chile is also dealing with severe flash floods, the worst in 15 years.
The combination of these events has created significant challenges for the country.
