Agriculture Minister Maria Panayiotou highlighted a €168 million integrated package to address Cyprus’ water‑supply challenges, along with €454 million in initiatives under the Common Agricultural Policy, during remarks in Fikardou.
Panayiotou said supporting rural communities is a matter of development, social cohesion and the country’s future.
She added that the government’s goal is to give villages long‑term prospects, keep young people in their communities and ensure producers feel the state stands with them.
