FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos concluded his working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday. The visit, held on April 7-8, 2025, took place in Abu Dhabi.
During his visit, Kombos met with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Discussions focused on bilateral relations between Cyprus and the UAE, regional developments, and international challenges. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Kombos also held a meeting with UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy. The talks covered issues related to regional stability, humanitarian efforts, strategic Cyprus-UAE collaboration, and the upcoming Cypriot Presidency of the European Union Council in the first half of 2026.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with Gulf nations and promote bilateral, regional, and international cooperation.
