Cyprus Industrial Production Sees Annual Increase in February 2025

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus’s Industrial Production Index rose to 108.5 units in February 2025, a 4.1% increase compared to February 2024, the Statistical Service reported.

Growth over the January-February period reached 4.3%, driven by gains in several key sectors.

The manufacturing sector expanded by 2.4%, alongside notable increases in electricity supply (+14.2%), mining and quarrying (+8.1%), and water supply and materials recovery (+3.8%).

Manufacturing growth was strongest in wood and cork products (+8.1%), electronic and optical products (+7.2%), and non-metallic mineral products (+5.1%), while declines were noted in paper products and printing (-10.9%) and furniture manufacturing (-2.3%).

Year-to-date comparisons highlighted significant growth in water collection (+14.3%) and electronic equipment manufacturing (+12.3%), contrasting with declines in paper products and printing (-10.7%) and materials recovery (-2.6%).
