The grand carnival parade held in Limassol last Sunday left behind 45 tons of garbage.
Cleaning efforts on “Makarios” Street, where the parade took place, lasted over five hours and involved 80 people.
This year’s Limassol Carnival saw record participation, with 120 groups and 35,000 participants. The amount of garbage collected was two tons more than last year, highlighting the scale of the event.
However, the excessive use of spray by children and adults garnered negative comments from attendees, indicating a need for more responsible behavior during future celebrations.
