More than 850 donors from the Karaiskakio Foundation registry have provided life-saving transplants to patients in 35 countries, reaffirming Cyprus’s vital role in the international transplant network, the foundation announced Friday.
The statement was issued to mark World Bone Marrow Donor Day, celebrated this year under the theme “Heroes of Hope.”
The campaign honors the millions of volunteer donors worldwide who offer the priceless gift of a second chance at life.
