Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides stated he has not made any decision regarding a potential candidacy in the 2028 presidential elections, though he did not rule out the possibility.
In an interview with ThemaOnline, Christodoulides responded to criticism suggesting he had launched a re-election campaign from the moment he assumed office.
He dismissed the claims, saying his outreach to citizens was part of his duty as head of state.
While acknowledging that a second term would interest him, the President emphasized that his current focus remains on fulfilling the promises he made to the Cypriot people.
