Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides has invited Hungary’s new prime minister, Péter Magyar, to visit the island following a phone call between the two leaders on Tuesday.
Christodoulides congratulated Magyar on his election and expressed the readiness of the Republic of Cyprus — and his own personally — for close and productive cooperation at both the bilateral and European levels.
Magyar extended an invitation for Christodoulides to visit Hungary later this year.
During the call, Christodoulides briefed the Hungarian prime minister on the work and outcomes of the Informal European Council held in Cyprus. The two leaders agreed to remain in close contact.
