Cyprus Ranks Second in Eurozone for Payment‑Card Use

Cyprus has the second‑highest rate of payment‑card use in the eurozone, with cards accounting for 75% of all transaction volume, according to a new report from the Central Bank of Cyprus.

The bank said Cypriots are increasingly turning to digital payments, noting that cards have become the country’s most widely used payment method because they are “very convenient, fast and easy.”
