Temperatures are forecast to reach 38 degrees Celsius inland, around 31 degrees on the western coast, 34 degrees along other coastal areas, and 27 degrees in higher elevations.
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, though patches of low cloud are expected intermittently, especially in the west and north. Winds will shift to northwesterly to northeasterly, remaining light at force 3. Seas will gradually calm to slight.
Overnight lows will drop to 22 degrees inland and along the coasts, and 17 degrees in the mountains.
Friday and Saturday will bring periods of increased cloud cover, with a chance of isolated afternoon showers in the mountains. Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny.
Temperatures will gradually decline through Saturday, with no significant change expected Sunday, settling near seasonal averages.
