A weak low‑pressure system and an unstable air mass are affecting the region, bringing afternoon showers and isolated storms.
Forecasters say skies will start mostly clear today, but clouds will build through the day. Isolated showers and a thunderstorm are expected after midday, mainly in the mountains, the interior and southern and southwestern areas. Hail is possible in any storm.
Winds will be light early, becoming light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly later.
Seas will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will reach 29°C inland, 26°C on the south and east coasts, 25°C on the remaining coasts and 18°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight will be mostly clear, with some low cloud at times. Winds will ease and become light downslope. Temperatures will fall to 16°C inland, 17°C on the coasts and 12°C in the mountains.
