Fitch Ratings lifted its 2025 growth forecast for Türkiye to 3.8 percent, up from 3.5 percent, according to the agency’s latest Global Economic Outlook report cited by state broadcaster TRT on Friday.
The report projects Türkiye’s economy will expand by 3.5 percent in 2026 and 4.2 percent in 2027.
Official data released Monday showed the economy grew 3.7 percent year‑on‑year in the third quarter of 2025, following gains of 4.9 percent in the second quarter and 2.5 percent in the first.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told lawmakers Wednesday that the third‑quarter performance underscored the country’s upward trajectory, making Türkiye the fourth‑fastest‑growing economy among OECD members. He noted the economy has now expanded for 21 consecutive quarters.
