Four ambulances were damaged after a fire broke out shortly after midnight Monday in the parking area of a private clinic in Geroskipou, authorities said.
The vehicles were parked outside the clinic when they caught fire, and early indications leave open the possibility of malicious activity, according to police.
Fire Service crews responded immediately and brought the blaze under control. The ambulances sustained extensive damage, mainly to their front sections.
The incident comes just days after the clinic’s owner was targeted in a separate criminal attack, when unknown individuals threw a defensive hand grenade at his home in Ayia Marinouda. A 59‑year‑old man has been arrested as a suspect in that case.
Police said the grenade attack had been preceded by an attempted arson at the same residence.
