Municipal crews and volunteers removed 50 tons of waste from central Limassol following Sunday’s major Carnival parade, which drew thousands of participants, residents and visitors.
Mayor Yiannis Armeftis said in a post that within just three hours, 50 municipal workers, 14 sweepers and volunteers restored the city to normal conditions and reopened the main avenue to traffic.
