Authorities are investigating the motives behind a suspected arson attack at an apartment complex in Protaras.
The fire broke out shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at a building housing hotel workers from the surrounding area.
After extinguishing the blaze, fire and police officials conducted an on-site investigation, which indicated the fire had been deliberately set.
According to Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the blaze caused damage to the interior of the unit, which was partitioned with drywall, as well as to household furnishings.
