Cyprus police announced extensive security and traffic arrangements ahead of Sunday’s football match between Omonia and Olympiakos, set for 8:30 p.m. at GSP Stadium in Nicosia.
The match will host supporters of both clubs, with stadium gates opening at 7 p.m. Police urged fans to arrive at least an hour early to avoid delays, warning that late arrivals may enter after kickoff. Entry requires both a Fan Card and a valid match ticket; children’s tickets may be checked against ID.
Omonia supporters will occupy the west, north and east stands and are advised to approach via Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue and park in the west and north lots. West and north ticket booths will open at 7 p.m.
Olympiakos supporters will use the south stand, arriving via the GSP roundabout and Anexartisias Avenue, with parking in the south lot. Their ticketing will also operate from the west booths. After the match, Olympiakos fans may be asked to remain briefly in the stands until Omonia supporters exit.
Police reiterated several prohibitions:
- No entry without Fan Card and ticket
- No flares, firecrackers or dangerous objects
- No alcohol inside or outside the stadium
- No political, offensive or provocative banners or clothing
- No graffiti or slogan‑writing
- No backpacks, motorcycle helmets or face‑covering items
- No climbing on barriers
- No parking along Fthiotidos Street or near the GSP motorway roundabout; violators will be fined
Personal‑item collection points for both sets of fans will operate at the west ticket booths.
