The International Committee of the Red Cross said it is ready to act as a neutral intermediary in efforts to return Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees, as Israel and Hamas continue negotiations in Egypt under the Trump administration’s peace plan.
The plan includes a cease-fire, prisoner exchange and disarmament of Hamas.
“We are also prepared to deliver humanitarian aid into Gaza and ensure its safe distribution to civilians in desperate need,” ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric said in a statement.
