FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Two guerrilla fighters have been arrested and charged with 60 counts, including murder, following a bombing in Cali that killed six people.
Authorities say the suspects transported and activated two trucks loaded with explosives and grenade launchers.
One of the trucks detonated outside an air defense base.
The suspects are believed to be members of the left-wing guerrilla group EMC, which previously claimed responsibility for attacks in and around Cali that left seven dead.
The bombing came hours after 13 police officers were killed in a separate attack near Medellín.
A police helicopter assisting with coca crop eradication was shot down using a drone and firearms.
