A seasonal low-pressure system combined with a warm air mass is currently affecting weather conditions across Cyprus, according to the national meteorological service.
Tonight, skies are expected to remain mostly clear. However, intervals of increased low cloud cover are likely, particularly along western and northern coastal areas. Patchy fog is anticipated during the early morning hours, mainly in southern and eastern regions as well as parts of the interior.
Winds will be light and variable, blowing southwest to northwest at around 3 on the Beaufort scale. Seas will be calm to slightly rough, with western coastal areas experiencing slightly rough conditions early in the evening.
Temperatures will drop to 21°C inland, at western and northern coasts, 23°C in the south and east, and 20°C in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow, after the early morning fog and low cloud dissipate, clear conditions will persist throughout the day. Winds will shift from southeast to southwest in the morning, remaining light at 3 Beaufort, strengthening slightly in the afternoon to 3–4 Beaufort inland and 4–5 Beaufort along the coast.
Seas will be generally slightly rough. Daytime highs will reach 38°C inland, 30°C on the western coast, 32°C elsewhere along the coast, and 31°C in mountainous regions.
Tomorrow night, weather will stay mostly clear, with occasional increases in low clouds at western and northern coastal areas. Patchy fog is again expected before dawn in southern, eastern, and interior regions. Winds will remain light, varying southwest to northwest at 3 Beaufort. Sea conditions will range from calm to slightly rough, particularly in the west and north.
