Private health‑care providers in Cyprus will hold a critical meeting Tuesday afternoon to address the ongoing shortage of nurses, industry representatives said.
Michael Antoniou, director general of the Employers and Industrialists Federation, told CyBC radio that participants will examine whether some services offered by private hospitals may need to be suspended.
“Either certain services will be fully suspended, or they will be offered only sporadically,” Antoniou said.
He stressed that private providers will not take any action that would endanger patient health or compromise the quality of care.
