FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — Three foreign nationals aged 18, 21 and 35 are expected to appear before court Friday for a remand order following a late-night altercation along the Foinikoudes beachfront in Larnaca, police said.
According to Police Headquarters spokesman Christodoulos Konsolos, the men were involved in a verbal argument for reasons still unknown before the dispute escalated into physical violence. A nearby patrol intervened and arrested all three. One minor injury was reported.
Separately, authorities are investigating an attempted murder in Nicosia after a 69-year-old man was rushed into surgery with abdominal and chest injuries. His condition is serious but stable.
The suspect, his 31-year-old son, has been placed under mandatory psychiatric care. A warrant for his arrest had also been issued, police said.
